I Utilize my always changing and ever evolving ideas in order to turn my biggest fault into my most invaluable strength. The goal of every game designer is to create a unique one of a kind product that people will enjoy over and over again. So who better to create unique one of a kind games, than somebody who is always changing the way they see the world. Creating game concepts using my knowledge of art and applying them to constructive ideas gives me an edge over game designers who purely have an interest in games and have no background in art.
I create art with my words and then turn them into a concept. Building up the game from the rules up which are the foundation of any game. I enjoy creating new fantastical worlds or utilizing already created worlds to develop my ideas and concepts. How better, to create a world than to write a story. The goals of my games are to pull you in and give you an experience similar to reading a book. I like to create my own sort of wonderland when it comes to my games, “If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense.” Lewis Carroll. The world of Alice in Wonderland is wild and crazy, and draws you into it even know it is full of madness. I like to try and push the limit and create that experience.
I have created a Deck Building game comprised of over 600 cards based on fairy tales by the original Grimm Fairy Tales. This was my first project and I chose a deck building game because it is a perfect medium for writing a story, it allows my players to write their story as they play and every time you play, the experience is different. Much like me I like my work to always be different, every time you play. In this way, I put who I am into my work.
